Vodacom do not honour advertised deals

I upgraded my phone with Vodacom in November 2020 choosing a specific package BECAUSE it was advertised to come with a Samsung TV. I have now been struggling for 6 months with Samsung to get my TV. I have emailed and phoned and posted on Twitter, used the online CHAT and NOT ONE PERSON HAS EVEN COME BACK TO ME! I asked Vodacom for assistance and they refuse to help - just refer me back to Samsung. I did not buy this contract from Samsung.

I even complained to the Advertising Standards Board and they say they cannot force anyone to honour their promises, only remove the advert. When you sign a contract with Vodacom because it includes a free TV it is not a promise anymore but a contractual agreement.

I asked Vodacom to assist since I have spent 6 months following the Samsung avenue with no luck. They just refuse to assist - as though they were not a party to advertising and selling me this deal.

My current 4 contracts will be my last Vodacom contracts and the rest of my family will also be moving when contracts are up. I am sure Vodacom cares even less about that then they do about their false advertising.

My complaint was that I signed a contract with Vodacom and after 6 months of consulting with Samsung I still have no TV. I have asked Vodacom to assist since you sold me this deal and only get referred back to Samsung. You are not taking responsibility for what you sold.

So your private response to my complaint is again to follow up with Samsung????? thank you for NOTHING! why even bother to respond??
