Vodacom do not cancel expired contracts against customers instructions and wishes

Here I am - once again writing a review about Vodacom. My last contract with Vodacom came to an end last year. Even before it expired they phoned me to renew and I made it very clear I do not want to renew. I told them that I'm cancelling my contract - effective from the last date when it expires. I said this to a number of agents calling me. They send e-mails telling me to re-new and I gave them the same answer - no thank you. Cancel the contract the moment my current contract expire. A month before the official expiry date I phoned them and told them to cancel it. They did not cancel it. So I went to a shop and told them to cancel it - because now it already expired. They did not do it. Then I sent an e-mail telling them to cancel the contract with immediate effect since it already expired. They did not do it. In the meantime agents kept on calling me to tell me I have to renew - and every time I repeated myself like a damn tape recorder, Cancel it. I'm done. I do not want to renew. I started buying airtime - thinking I am now on pre-paid. My vodacom app was not working anymore so I deleted it and installed again - they are blocking me from using it. They refuse for me to register because the number is already registered - but I can't get access to my account. This way I kept on recharging myself while I am looking for another contract with another service provider. This week one very rude guy phoned me and told me I am behind in my payments and will now be blacklisted. I told him I cancelled the contract and he told me I did not cancel. Like they did with the previous contracts they simply put me into another contract I never agreed to in any form and that I cancelled verbally over the phone, in a Vodacom shop and in writing via e-mail. No sane person would agree to take a contract where you get no data, no extra's and less airtime than the monthly payment and no new device but that is exactly where I find myself once again - like all the previous contracts they refused to let me out of for a period of 2 years but they had no signed or verbally agreed to recording as proof that I ever agree to the contract. One of the contracts they charged me almost 3 times the amount of the original contract and then told me that it is airtime advance. Their own rules limit you to how much airtime advance you can take. Plus - it was my son's contract - and I recharged him pre-paid every month. I am going to lay a charge at the police station for ***** and I'm going to send my complaint to the ombudsman. I had enough of these dishonest people. From the bottom of my heart I wish Vodacom will go down and will never be allowed to operate anywhere in Africa again. I'm going to pay this last payment but if they recharge and bill me again I will not pay it.
