Vodacom - Disarray and Shambolic
I app**** for a new contract on the Vodacom website and was initially rejected. When I reapp**** for said contract I was sent a confirmation SMS indicating that my contract application needed to be finalized with relevant documentation. Upon sending my Documentation I was sent an automated response with a reference number and told that within 24 hours I would receive feedback.
Once the 24 hour period had expired I proceeded to contact Vodacom directly. After giving them my ID number I was informed that my application was rejected. However, when I informed the call center agent that I reapp**** after the initial rejection, and subsequently sent through relevant documentation, she could not find any record of my secondary application. I have all the SMS's with time stamps as well as the confirmatory e-mail signifying that my application was being processed.
I find the whole process to be worrisome. Does Vodacom not have a tried and tested method of checking what applications were or are being processed based upon required documentation that has been submitted? If I was denied for a contract why then could I reapply the second time, submit all my documentation, and then have no record on Vodacom's system of my secondary applications?
I would indeed appreciate any feedback from Vodacom regarding this or clarification as to why their systems are in such disarray and shambolic. I have little to no faith that Vodacom will actually get back to me but nonetheless one must endeavor to try.

This is totally and utterly unacceptable. To suggest that Vodacom is staffed by the bottom end of the barrel would be a compliment. Shambolic and utter chaos is the ethos by which Vodacom operate as a business. Corporate greed and profits is all they care about; to hell with customer satisfaction.
To anybody who is thinking about opening up a Vodacom contract please heed caution and realize that they will take you for a ride. There are not many alternatives to Vodacom, however I would strongly recommend MTN as the service I received from them 2 days ago far exceeds anything I have EVER received from Vodacom, who are nothing but a gaggle of imbeciles, dolts, and ambulance chasers!
