Vodacom disappoints again
My contract expired in November 2023. After many hassles with Vodacom, one person put through the request to not renew my contract etc, and I called and emailed to confirm it will not be extended a few times. I confirmed any delayed charges may be deducted as needed in Dec'23.
Now my most recent Experian credit report, updated in Feb'24, shows that I have missed the Dec and Jan payments, am 60 days in arrears, and my Vodacom contract, which was paid via debit order and had not ever missed payments, has been handed over. This for an account that has been paid up, expired, and cancelled for almost 3 months. What is Vodacom handing over? That I paid my contract monthly, and they neglected to process my cancellation properly? This on top of day to day stressors? Ridiculous!
I have my own as well as Vodacom statements to prove my point, but am extremely disappointed that my account and information was not updated in the report Vodacom has shared with credit bureaus. This impacts the individual and Vodacom takes zero responsibility as usual.
I honestly do not know what more to say, as the after sales service has honestly been such a horrible experience with Vodacom (from the aggressive - after I told him I had just been atta cked and could not do the heated debate etc, I just needed to log the cancellation- and blatantly rude sales person, and despite requests did not log the request), to this mess.
Great with getting us to sign up, giving me a used number that was still linked to the previous person, and then honestly a disappointment in the most creative ways to put it nicely.
