Vodacom Disappoints AGAIN

During December 2017 I upgraded 2 celephone contracts at the Vodashop in Cresta. I was assisted by Pascal, who was very helpful in assisting me to ensure that he process was completed quick and efficiently. I was informed that I had an option to add (what I was lead to believe) a wireless charger for the Iphone 8's to each for an additional fee.

I was told that the chargers were not in stock at the time, but that they will be available in about e weeks time. As I was doing my upgrades during the week leading up to Xmas, I could understand that stock could be issue and was happy to wait a week or so before receiving the wireless chargers.

As I had heard nothing for Pascal (who saved my number on his mobile phone to contact me when the chargers were available) I visited the Vodashop in Cresta today ( 4 February 2018) to esquire about the chargers which I was now paying for but have not received yet.

At this point I was given some "Charging bundle" which appeared to be high speed wired charger which what I apparently signed for in the contract. When I expressed the fact that I was unhappy as thus was not the chargers I discussed with Pascal when I did the upgrades.

There was no attempt made in any way to assist and all I was told is that is what I signed for. When I made it very clear that this was not what was discussed and that I was in no way happy and had no intention to accept the chargers that Pascal was giving me, Pascal called the manager on duty.

After Pascal and Nathi (the manger) had a discussion in the back room, Nathi approached me with a attitude that once again showed no intention to assist me. I was once again told that the "Charging bundle" that I had signed for in the contracts was the chargers Pascal wanted to give me and that I just have to accept this.

Firstly I was not contacted for more than a month regarding the outstanding chargers, for which I am now paying. If there was a delay in the availability of stock and that the promised week before availability was not reachable, It would have been totally understandable but a courtesy call explaining this to me, would be what I would have expected from Vodacom.

Secondly I would never have agreed to an additional cost for another wired charger as I have many. I was lead to believe that I would be receiving wireless chargers.

Thirdly as a long standing Vodacom customer I would not in my wildest dreams expected such arrogance as experienced and such poor customer service. I would also not expect having to pay Vodacom for something I do not have and I would least expect being led to believe that I was receiving wireless chargers and then later told I signed for something else.

As this is not the first issue I have with Vodacom I will be investigating my options with other mobile operators in South Africa, and find a provided who actually care about their customers.

This is definitely what I would expect from Vodacom after so many years of being a loyal customer.

I am truly unhappy and disappointed in Vodacom
