VODACOM DISAPPOINTMENT!

My husband and I have been Vodacom customers for the past 20+ years now, and have never considered deviating to another service provider. We have had issues with Vodacom in the past, but their service, with my recent experience, has hit an all time low. My main contract was due to upgrade around the 01st of June 2017, but after calling the cancellations department approximately 2 weeks ago, (around the beginning of May), to cancel one of my data contracts, I was informed that I could do an earlier upgrade on my primary contract provided that I did it via their call centre. Having always done my upgrades via busy walk in Vodacom stores, I thought that perhaps this would be a smoother process with less paperwork. I was excited as I had chosen to upgrade to the New Galaxy S8, and even more so when told on two separate occasssions that I would get a complimentary accessory kit. (Phone cover, screen protector, wireless charger etc). Upon receiving my package via courier about a week later, all I received was the phone with regular charger, earphones etc, and an education voucher! I called twice to enquire and was subsequently told I was misinformed by the call centre agent and that the accessory kit was on applicable to in store and online upgrades. I really don't accept this reasoning, especially after being told about the accessory kit at the time of the upgrade as well as the next day when I was called to confirm the upgrade. I was told someone would call me back with feedback, and low and behold, I am still waiting almost a week later! I am extremely disappointed in Vodacom, I should have just waited until the beginning of June and upgraded via my local store, or even better, migrated to a new service provider. I currently have 4 or 5 line and data contracts with Vodacom, and needless to say, I will NOT be upgrading any of them in the future.
