Vodacom Directors asleep at the wheel.

Unfortunately I could not give Vodacom less than a star to do my review, the directors at Vodacom must be happy about that. False sense of security.

Well let's start

I've been a customer of Vodacom for years, had several contracts with them. As each contract expires my in tention was to cancil them, reading being POOR customer service. That's when I found out that once again you need to deal with them to cancil. Even though you have had your 24 months of poor service with Vodacom you now have to give them 1 months notice when canceling the contract. That means they got you for 25 months. *****ed arn't you. Well that is if the Cancilations department does there job.

So here we are, last contract ends 5th may 2020. I called cancellations 3rd May 2020 to cancil the last remaining contract. Spoke to the call centre agent and told her I would like to cancil the contract. We went through the personal details AGAIN to verify it was me calling to cancil the contract as if anyone in there right mind would put them selves through all this to cancil someone else's contract.

After verifying that I was the account holder, we went through the request again, "I would like to cancil the contract as it was expiring 5th May (Sunday) 2020.

I was then told I could not cancil the contract as I must call in after the 5th. I the asked to speak to a manager as after canceling contracts before this is now another story again.

I was told that she had loged a call back for the manager and they will contact me in 24 hours. I then informed the call agent that my passed experience showed me that managers at Vodacom do not call back and that I have made the the request to cancil and would request a copy of this call if cancelation was not done, I also informed her that the final payment due to VODACOM would be paid 25th and then I'm finished with VODACOM.

Come July 2020 while checking my credit score what did I find? You guessed it.

VODACOM wants outstanding fees for service not provided

I called in to collections department, they said the cant do anything because this is a Cancilations issue.

Was back and forth between both departments several times. None taking any charge of the situation. Now imagine calling several times to Vodacom and sitting 10 to 20 min each time before even speaking to a human being, that's only if you lucky your call doent get cut off and you must try again.

Well after eventually getting abrupt with one of the call centre agents and refusing to wait for a manager to call back a Team Leader (Simion Chetty) took my call. That eventually in August 2020. He then assured me that someone would call me to give a reference number as the had to credit my account to cancil the amount at the Collections department. Three days latter I did receive a call and was given a reference number and told that someone will call me once all was done as it could take a month, thinking all was well I took down the reference and verified it again.

In september 2020 again I checked and nothing has been done. I the contacted Simion Chetty who said he will look into it, I also provided him with the reference number, of witch they could find on the system. Several calls to check what's the status of the account no change, no calls from Simion Chetty who promised to keep me updated. October same story. Now we in november and the outstanding amount has increased, since when is Vodacom a financial agent? But never the less tryed to get hold of Simion Chetty, currently on Leave, he will call me back when he returns. I then requested to speak to his Manager, I was told that a request was sent and that they will get back to me.

Today 16th November 2020 I called to check what's the status, still no Simion Chetty call back, Simion Chetty currently not on the call Centre floor and unable to chat to him. I requested to speak to his manager and i was told that a request will be sent and I'll get a call back. I then asked the managers name and Surnam i was given "Milisa Moonsamy".

I must admit that I fumed at the words "they will call you back", being caught between a rock and a Hard place like majority of Vodacom Customers I had a chose to make stay on the line and listen to dead air or accept the request was loged and hang up but not before rating the service received from Vodacom.

Vodacom rating service means nothing, to the employees as well as the directors of Vodacom, because the customers are just a joke. This is just a way of blind siding customers in thinking that this rating/ customer opinion means anything. Any company would be ashamed to see any bad comments posted about there organisation.

So here we are. Tried to resolve the issues with Vodacom but all I get is a call back request that never happens.

If I ever came face to face with one of the so called VODACOM Directers, I would tell them if I was part of Vodacom I would be ashamed.

But I guess that would not mean anything to them.

They got there huge salaries for doing nothing like the rest of the staff who earn much less but they getting paid to do nothing anyway so what.

The Directors focus more on the Golf game score than the perphormance and customer service.

Directors most likly dont even wast there time on reading posts like this.

My last words will be that the Directors Wake up and see what happenning in the company they should be running, stop ignoring the customers and most of all stop robbing them.

One day you will wish you had not allowed customers to leave or even forced them out by means of your actions.

You will need every one of us one day when things go south.

Hoping for a better tomorow.
