Vodacom Direct Clearwater Mall disgusting service

I went to the Vodacom Direct Store at Clearwater mall yesterday for an upgrade on my phone contract. When I got in the store I requested the Samsung s21 ultra due to its camera quality. The specialists at store then "highly recommend" the Huawei mate 40 pro. I told them my concerns with Huawei were that the newer Huawei phones didn't come with functional Google aps or services. The technical specialists guaranteed me that they'll install Google aps on my phone that work and that I would have no problem whatsoever with the Aps. Based on that information i said I'll take the phone. The specialist then installed the apps and sent me on my way home. When I got home none of the Google Aps were working. I tried to even restart my phone but nothing happened. When I got up in the morning I gave it another try and they still didn't work. I got fed up and decided to take the phone back to the store. I was then rudely informed by Irvin at Clearwater Vodacom Direct that there's no way he's exchanging my device for the one I want unless I can prove to him that this device is overheating. I asked him about the cooling off period for the contract and he said it doesn't apply for phones that aren't overheating. I explained to him why I'm bringing it back and he rudely told me that other customers are happy with theirs. My needs and theirs are clearly not the same. Why can't my phone be exchanged for the one I initially requested especially if your staff are the ones who misinformed me? Irvin told me to go ahead and report him, he doesn't care. He said I should bring the phone tomorrow so the technicians could try again to reinstall the Google apps. Guys... Tell me.. What's gonna happen a few months down the line when Huawei does a system upgrade and the phone doesn't work again?

Why am I being so inconvenienced as a customer? Why was I misinformed? What type of customers are lucky enough to get a cool off period on their contacts? Why does the Consumer Protection Act specifically exclude me when it comes to my contract with you? My phone/contract is less than 24 hours old!!! I asked to speak to the manager and Irvin said he's the manager. He told me to go report him, he doesn't care. Wel... I care! I care about my money! How many more customers are being told to go f themselves and that you guys don't care? I'm NOT accepting liability for your store's mistake.
