Vodacom deserves minus 10 stars

I have kindly rated you with one start because there are no negative options. In reality, you deserve around -10 stars. Here is my issue:

Due to altered financial circumstances as a result of a divorce, I contacted Vodacom and said that I wanted to cancel all my contracts, all of which had expired. I explained my circumstances and that I could no longer afford them. This was in 2018.

Vodacom said accounts could not be cancelled, because the account was in arrears. I said I would happily pay the arrears and requested a payment plan, and cancellation of contracts. These included telephone contacts for myself, my ex husband, and the wifi.

Vodacom ignored this and cut off all devices, but continues to charge monthly fees on all accounts, despite the fact that I said repeatedly that I acknowledged the original arrears amount and was happy to pay it.

For over 2 years, I have been calling, emailing and visiting Vodacom branches. Everyone I spoke to said they were not the right person to speak to, but could not tell me who the correct person might be. In fact, today, when I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told no and had the phone put down on me. The phone was put down on me 6 times, just today. That was during the 3 hour stint I spent speaking to the call centre.

Although I believe Vodacom is no better than a gang of common ******, I paid the ridiculous amount outstanding - over R 20 000 for services NOT rendered, but I cannot get them to send me a simple statement of account. In addition, the have allocated my old number to a new user without resolving the issue, so apparently my details don't match and nobody can help me.

What is it I want? Ideally, a refund of the money I didn't owe, but ******* are not well known for providing refunds. What I would like is a simple statement that says my account is no longer in arrears and has been closed, but for the last moth I have been unsuccessful in getting this. This means that I have lost the house I wanted to purchase, and I have to fork out huge amounts of money to relocate my family, pay a new rental deposit, etc.

What has their response been, you ask? Well, they have sent me emails that have said I will be contacted and then I have been phoned by people who then tel me they are the wrong person to speak to but they can't tell me who the correct person is.

I can't believe I have spent over 2 years of my life fighting what should be a simple issue.
