Vodacom deletes debit information and send lawyers warnings
I've got a little time left on my data contract with Vodacom and technically it was my first Vodacom contract. As per usual with payments its done via debit order and that is how it been since day one. My contract was due for upgrade a while back so I decided I will go round to a Vodacom store yesterday but instead of going I got a lawyers letter warning me of a skipped payment. So I got the accounts department to enquire what happened as every month my payments goes off via debit order. I was told on the 16:10:2020 my banking details was so how removed and that's why the debit failed end of October. I wanted to know why it was done and the consultant didn't have an answer so I contacted the social team via Facebook and Twitter and clearly they didn't understand why and rather insisting I pay the amount. Now I will clearly be paying the amount asap but I want to know why my banking details were removed and why I got a lawyers letter. These things impacted on one's credit record and instead of wanting to upgrade I want to cancel now
