Vodacom deleted my number after not using it for 5 months

Hi, i am 24 years with vodacom, i.went abroad for 5 months. When i returned my vodacom number was deleted. I contacted customer care and they said they can do nothing, they said try vodacom store. I went to vodacom store and they said they can do nothing too. So now i am puzzled and have no.idea what to do. Please i need help, since all my bank accounts and policies are linked to that number
