Vodacom deleted my number after 4months

I had been overseas for 4months and when I got back to South Africa I switched on my phone and there wasn't any service.I noticed my bank apps and messages didn't come through. All my app payments also use that phone number.I called the Vodacom customer care they said number is deleted? But I could goto a Vodacom store and do a sim swop. I have been to 2 stores and nobody can help I have even tried Vodacom again but the agent says that the number is gone to a recycle bin and someone else will get my number. I had everything linked to the number. Please someone help me πŸ₯ΊπŸ˜

The feedback was Vodacom cannot help. They will rather give the number to any new client and expose my information... Imagine if *****sters get a hold of my number that is linked to everything...and my old parents only know that number to dial if there are problems... apparently Vodacom has taken this decision as in not to do the right thing . Shameful from a Vodacom. They do not even notify their clients they just implement, all the other providers notify their users.Vodacom does not. Many people do not know that large companies do not really care about their clients well being...in 2024 South Africa Vodacom...you sponsor to advertise your company yet you shoot your existing clients. Do not fool South Africa. South Africans chose wisely when purchasing from a cell phone provider purchase from a company that will appreciate you as a client. So not be fooled by advertising and sponsorships that is being done to lie to you.it is our money that enables them to advertise and make sponsorships. Good bye Vodacom . terrible service and understanding from a South African company.
