Vodacom Delayed Booking My Phone for 2 Weeks and Misled Me – Now 1 Month Without Device
I am a Vodacom contract customer with device insurance and I am extremely concerned about how my repair has been handled by the Vodacom Shop Boardwalk in Gqeberha.
I submitted my phone for insured repairs on 30 March 2026 and was advised the process would take 1–2 weeks.
After multiple follow-ups (including five store visits), I was told my phone was already with the repairs team and delays were due to parts.
However, I later discovered: 1. The device was only booked in on 14 April 2026 (over two weeks later). 2. It only arrived at the repair centre on 20 April 2026. 3. The information I was given did not match the actual repair status. 4. Incorrect contact details were recorded. 5. The repair centre struggled to obtain accurate information from the store.
I have now been without my phone for nearly a month.
I am requesting urgent intervention to: - Prioritise my repair or replacement - Provide a clear and accurate status update - Explain the delay in booking the device - Correct my contact details - Consider appropriate remedial action
This matter requires urgent attention from Vodacom head office.
