Vodacom deceives you!

Hi Everyone,

I feel thqt I have to warn people about Vodacom and their outright obfuscation of the truth. Recently I was contacted by one of their call centre agents informing me of a possible upgrade on one of my data lines. I asked him to cancel this line, only to find out that I have to call cancellations to do so. Another way Vodacom tries to give you the run around. He then asked whether I would like to upgrade my current line. I repeatedly asked him whether the upgrade will allow me to top up because I do not want to pay out of bundle rates which are ridiculous btw. He then complies and indicates that they will make it top up. I will get more data and airtime for slighly more than I am currently paying. I then agree. Unfortunately I now realise after my airtime and data miraculously doesn't run out that I have an open line after I am out of bundle. This is exactly what I wanted to avoid. I then ask them to revert me back to the old contract, which they now miraculously caanot do. They now inform me that the investigqtion will take seven days and I will only be reverted at the end of the month, while I have this open line I need to use, but cannot top up. So now, I have to pay these ******* for an open line until they can sort it out. My call was transferred and transferred to no avail. Please never use Vodacom. They cqn get you into a contract in five minutes, but it takes a month and thousands of rands later for qnything to be done!!!

Reviewer Update
The query has not been resolved. I now have to wait for another division of Vodacom to get back to me. Additionally I received information from a call centre agent today that I was subscribed to services I never authorised. Apparently a gaming service and something else I had never heard of. The call centre agent also confirmed that I had been upgraded to the open line I didn't ask for. But, I would like to know who subscribed me and what cut Vodacom gets for these services I never subscribed for. The agent said it was about R150 per month. That's a R1800 per year. I wonder how long that has been going on for? I also cannot understand how Vodacom can say the matter has been resolved as per discussion today, since all the call centre agent said was that they escalated my inquiry with priority. Is that resolved? Uh...no! I send an open challenge to Vodacom to make it a priority to contact all their customers and inform them of the app services they pay for every month. Then to ask those customers whether they even subscribed to those services. I believe that is doing your due diligence Vodacom. Alternatively I ask any customer of Vodacom's to contact them and find out what you are subscribed to without your knowledge. You may save yourself hundreds of Rands. Btw can you please resolve the issue you have yet to resolve.
