Vodacom data usage, airtime disappearing and overcharging on handset instalments
No use even trying to contact customer care so here goes.
Firstly, I have a 80GB Top up contract @ R329.00 per month. 50GB day data & 30GB night owl. According to the my Vodacom app I used 35.40GB since the 1st of August until the 26th of August. The data balance was 0GB since before the 25th of August.
How is it possible that I got 50GB, used 35.40GB and my balance is zero, where is the other 14.6GB that I supposedly received and did not use? Number ***
Secondly Is it not true that Vodacom does not use your airtime when your data has run out? How is it then possible that my airtime magically disappears even when having data and there are definitely no content services or subscriptions on the number? Number: ***
Lastly, I did an upgrade quote on one of my lines at the end of July which was processed on the 5th of August. On the upgrade it clearly stated that I do not have an outstanding balance on the previous handset, meaning that the last payment on the previous phone should have been end of July, whether the upgrade was processed in July or August, however on my August bill I am still being charged a handset instalment, how is this possible if I had 0 instalments left according to the upgrade quote? I will also not go back to the store where I did the upgrade as the remaining handset instalment is not calculated by them but by Vodacom and the system, so in other words of the upgrade had been processed on the same date I had done the quote I would have paid a double handset instalment for this month? Number: *** Please explain all of the above with supporting documents. ***
Amount Owing: R0.00 per month (VAT incl.)
Months Remaining: 0
Total Balance: R0.00
According to him this has nothing to do with your previous handset, this after he also told me that it is not stated anywhere on the upgrade what the outstanding for the previous handset is, so please tell me what the hell this is for?
We did not even have a chance to get to any of the other queries as this person tried to raise his voice when I repeatedly told him that the upgrade says 0 remaining months and that I know how it works as I am a previous employee of Vodacom and told me that it is not stated anywhere on the upgrade?
Firstly get you facts straight before phoning an already upset client so they don't have to repeat the entire story until you understand and then don't lie and act like they are stupid and deny what they know is stated on the documents. I don't know whether to laugh or get angry as I just received the signed upgrade which states EXACTLY what I said which this guy completely denied being on the upgrade at all.
I am not at all interested to speak to this person again as he needs to first learn how to speak to and treat customers. I have also in the meantime contacted the store and the consultant who assisted me was very helpful and will log a request in this regard as she also knows that if the remaining months says 0, that is exactly what it is supposed to be.
