Vodacom Data Upgrade debacle: Vodacom Datacall Cellular Greenstone

I upgraded my mobile account in April, and while I was there, I enquired about upgrading my data contract as well. My device is old and I thought it time for a new one - even though it came at almost double the rate I was paying. I received a 4G device, but the device never connected to 4G and was extremely slow - so much so that I would switch on my other data card in the old device to connect, or use mobile data on my phone. I returned the device within the 7 day period and the technician on site confirmed that the devide was nor functioning as it should - but they still have to send it away to be tested and I would only have the results in a week or so. I started phoning after 10 days, dealing with Marco, and 3 weeks later, it was acknowledged that they had lost the device - noone knew where it was. They tried to source a device, but no stock anywhere and I was told it was no longer available. So I could get a lower spec device, or cancel the upgrade. I chose to cancel the upgrade. That was in May. I went in to the store on 14/07 and Thabo assisted. He phoned me on Monday 17/07 to advise that they were investigating, and on Tuesday 18/07 to advise that they had reversed the upgrade. I asked about a refund of the monies paid for devise taht I have not had use of, and he did not know what they would do about that. Since then, I have head nothing, and I am unable to get hold of them on any of the numbers they have phoned me on. I'm very irritated that I am paying for a device I don't have. I also do not see on the account that the upgrade has been reversed and I am locked in a contract to the end of April 2019. I want both of these issues fixed please.

So here we are in January 2018. The remedy that was emailed to me by the provider has not transpired and so I am still being charged for a device I do not have. These telecom providers really don't give a darn about their customers.
