Vodacom Data Bundles - No "low balance" warnings

I have been purchasing data bundles from Vodacom via the *111# service for a couple of years now.

For as long as I can recall, Vodacom would always send an sms to warn you that your bundle was about to expire in order to avoid out of bundle rates - which are ridiculous at R2/mb.

However, the last couple occasions that I have purchased a bundle I have not recoeved this sms notification and as a result I have been paying the R2/mb without my knowledge. This used up R200 in no time at all.

Why was I not notified? Is this something new? And if so, why as a customer was I not informed?

Very unhappy with the lack of communication.
