Vodacom Damages iPhone 6 beyond repair while in their possession

I've been a customer with Vodacom for 16 years and currently have x3 contracts with them. Never missed a payment.

I recently handed in mu iPhone6 for a screen repair after the phone was still working 100%. The consultant at the Vodacom Shop @ Mossel Bay even worked with the phone while the phone was booked it.

I receive a quote for the repair of R4 400 while my excess should only have been R1 500. After I inquired why so much I was notified that the phone was damaged internally and is no unrepairable!! I informed them the phone was working 100% and in working condition. I even received a 1st quote of R1 500 for my excess. How is it possible for the phone to has suffered internal damage? The phone wasn’t even in my possession.

Vodacom refused to give me an answer and I’ve exhausted all routes I can take to try and resolve this directly with Vodacom. Vodacom said they still refuse to acknowledge the fact that the phone was damaged while in their possession, regardless that the phone was in 100% working order and my 1st quote I received from the Vodcom technician was ONLY for a screen repair, and referred me to the NCC as they will not investigate how the phone got damaged while in their possession.

I have now laid a complaint at the NCC against Vodacom.
