Vodacom

Very disappointed with you and your insurance. I've had the same contract from 1997 and you are about to lose me forever! I lost y phone while on contract in Kenya. Of course i was going to stay for three months , so when i got there i took a local contract but used a phone i got n south Africa. All the time I've been paying monthly without any problems .. Mind you not using my south African contract but paid diligently. I unfortunately lost my phone , i mailed vodacom and asked them to block the phone and to please call me as i had no way of calling them. I provided them with my Kenya number. They responded that they cannot get hold of me but i must send them imei number .. Really now who goes out if the country and take their one year old phone box with them?? My stuff is in storage ?? On arriving back on Friday morning i went to a vodashop in fourways. I was told to go make an affidavit at the police station and get a case number. I did that and went back.. Then i was told by Hilton at that shop that they font have stock of the replacement stock and to come the next day. The next day he called the insurer who said she wanted proof that i left the country. Do they now want my passport ... Who again walks around with a passport in their home country?? I was only told to bring an id. I spoke to the insurance person on the phone who agreed to take a copy of my flight details which fortunately i had on email. Upon receiving the mail she now said but you were out of the country for more than a month so you were not covered. Not covered but continue paying subscription?? That was never mentioned at any point ... She even said its dangerous to agree to an insurance policy on the phone ... How dare she?? That is exactly how you sell your insurance ... Isn't it? You have lost a client of 22years over a phone costing under R10 000 ... Shame on you ..
