Vodacom
I was contacted by Vodacom with my 2nd upgrade after paying for 10 contracts which I only made use of 3 contracts. So when the 2nd upgrade was due, I decided to cancel everything on the account. Then the consultant started coaching into keeping most of them, I eventually decided after a long discussion, after she explained that if I cancel my phone, I would loose my mobile number which I did not want to do, so we eventually decided to keep 2 contacts my mobile and my Mom's. She told me I had so much bundles or what ever accumulated and advised that it would be such a waist and that Vodacom could transfer it to my Husband's mobile which was not on contact. She said Vodacom would send me a sim card to use. As we decided that would be great. I mentioned a few time that as long as the account comes down to less than what I was paying previously. She assured me it would quite be alot less. I also mentioned that I have stopped working and am currently retired. I asked her to give me the price. She interrupted by reading the paperwork and before I could ask her again she said I would get a email, we ended the call. A few days later I received 10 sim cards with Ram from Vodacom. I phoned Vodacom to ask what it's for, they said if I have a problem with my old sims I could use it. I said I didn't want them I just needed one, I was told I do what I like with them, we put one into my of them Husband's mobile it didn't work. I Waited for my account got nothing, I am still waiting.
Then a debit went off. R3596.00. In all the years I've been with Vodacom my account was never over R1200.00. I called them, they took all my details, they said there must be a mistake I'm to cancel the debit order with my bank. They will report it and get back to me. Nothing has resolved since just threats. I contacted again after after a few months. I spoke to a man named Nelson on the 11/5/2021. Explained everything to him too, took all my details like the previous consultant. Contacted again few months later a consultant explained that I should email a Affidavit with seven signature's on it plus my ID. I did this, never heard another thing untill Vodacom started with warnings and and now attorney threats with a bill that accumulated to R38000.00 and they just keep adding ever month. I really don't know what to do anymore. I can't afford to go to a attorney. If Vodacom would just listen to the recordings they will see that there was a **** or a mistake with the upgrade.
