Vodacom customers: beware of the migration trick

Saturday 22/4/23 out of the blue a vodacom consultant calls me and offers to migrate me to a different package. He tells me that he wants to migrate me from a 600mb package to a 1.2gig package. I asked about 3 or 4 times if it was going to increase my installment. He assured me that it wouldn't, so I accepted. He said that if I wanted to cancel, I should do so by the end of the month(April)..... I had no issues so I let it be. I checked my app only to learn that my installment went from R492 to R632. I queried it and they said that it is because of the migration. But I repeatedly told the idiot that called that I didn't want anything that increased my installment.

Vodacoms solution : I must pay R632 for one month because they wanted to help themselves by trying to trick me into a higher installment.

If they want really want to be honest with the people they leave with the choice of "cancelation before the end of the month" ; they must give them a glimpse of their installment.

They think money grows on trees.
