Vodacom Customercare does not exist
I have been trying unsuccessfully for two weeks to resolve an upgrade issue with Vodacom.
On 15 March I phoned Vodacom's 082135 number to request a change of plan from Red 1.4GB 400 mins @R660pm to a data only 25GB plan for R179pm.
The consultant advised that this would be done and would become active from 1 April.
On 1 April when the new plan did not take effect, I called the update team to enquire and was assured it would be implemented immediately.
I received some SMS confirming that the new plan was activated but on the Vodacom App nothing changed.
Since then I have called Vodacom almost daily to try to resolve this issue. More than half the time, I am informed that my account is on the M2 system and the consultant cannot assist and they will get someone to call me back but no one ever does.
I have been shunted from pillar to post and have tried calling all the Vodacom numbers including 082135, ***4 & *** and I keep on getting the run around.
I have even tried Vodacom’s Facebook Messenger customer care team and even there I get the run around.
All I want is for Vodacom to implement the new plan as agreed effective 1 April. I am not prepared to pay another R660 subscription this month because someone at Vodacom did not action my upgrade request on time.
It is unacceptable that I have had to spend more than 5 hours in 15 or more phone calls trying to sort this out and I am no closer to a solution.
How can I escalate this further as Vodacom consultants are unwilling to escalate my calls and don’t not call back as promised.
