Vodacom customer service is the worst!!!!

When enquiring about cancelling my data contract I received the sms on the screenshot below, stating that I do not have to pay anything to cancel the contract as this is a no device contract. In the sms Vodacom stated that I should just send a copy of my ID and the request for cancellation to the fax number. After doing this, I received an e-mail with a quotation that I have to pay 75% of the contract to cancel the contract. When phoning the cancellations department to find out what is going on and why I should pay after I received the sms stating I don’t have to pay anything they were adamant that I have to pay the amount on the quotation I received on my e-mail. After struggling to try to explain that the sms stated that I don’t have to pay anything Vodacom still wants to bully me in to paying the 75% of the contract even though they sent me this sms???? And my question is why should if pay for 75% of data that I won’t be receiving after the cancellation anyway. I can understand a reasonable cancellation fee, but paying for something that I will not be receiving? So now actually I feel like this is a way to manipulate customers just to go on with contracts and pay the outrageous prices for data. Why would I get a sms stating I should pay nothing but then when I fax through the documents needed as stated in the sms, receive an e-mail stating that I have to pay?

Please also look at the screenshot stating that I do not have to pay anything. This sms in the screenshot was sent by Vodacom
