Vodacom Customer Service is SH*T!!
I recently purchased a phone, cash, on the online store. The phone was delivered to me on Friday 4 November. After receiving the phone I decided that I would return it for a refund, as it was a wrongful purchase. I contacted customer care and the consultant told me that the return of the item is in progress, and RAM will contact me for pick up... Which never happened, even until now. Saturday I made another call as I was concerned that what I was told isn't true... Saturday a consultant confirmed that the return is in progress and RAM will contact me.
Today, 7 November 2022, I was held up on the phone for more than an hour not reaching any of the right support for this specific purchase... I went to Cape Gate Vodacom store where the person there even tried calling with no luck. Numerous calls were made and every time we were put through to the wrong department... As this is a CASH purchase none of the departments could assist us because we have to talk to the online cash purchase department who's number is 082 178 44... I have followed all the prompts on the call, where they ask you to press 1 if you want to make a return, then 1 again if it is a phone... After more than an hour of struggling to get hold of the right department, a consultant from the CONTRACTS department took my details and said his manager will escalate the matter.
I am really fed up with Vodacom and their **** service... I stay in Pretoria East and it is crazy how bad the signal is, calls keep on dropping and the struggle of just getting an item returned and getting MY MONEY BACK is absolutely unacceptable!!
It seems like they are becoming Big Tech which gives a f*ck about their customers... As soon as one of the customers misses a payment then they get a bad credit record etc. But Vodacom can take their time with every single thing they do. I really hope they see this and that I will receive comms about this situation. Because I want to return the item and get my money back!!! And if you think I am joking, I have all the proof of three emails to *** and numerous calls to all of the Vodacom service departments...
