Vodacom Customer Service!

So, here is the latest on my Vodacom saga which has been going on for nearly 2 months. Last week someone from Vodacom finally contacted me, and he has proven to be my Vodacom Saviour, Lennon Samduth. He explained that the contract for the Huawei Y7 was no longer available and offered me another deal i.e. a lesser phone (Huawei Y5) and at R20 a month more. This is not the contract I had entered into, telephonically on the 9th of May!! Lennon ‘sweetened’ the deal by offering me data for 6 months at no charge. At that point I agreed – I was well and truly fed-up of the whole saga. He passed me on to a very competent and friendly agent by the name of Shahista who completed the deal, confirming all the details, INCLUDING MY ID NUMBER!! Yesterday Ram couriers arrived and yet again THE INCORRECT ID NUMBER was on the Vodacom delivery note!!! I pleaded with them to leave the phone with me but they explained if ID numbers didn’t match their jobs were in jeopardy. At that point I was beyond myself with total anger and frustration!!!!! I had Lennon’s e-mail address and sent a desperate e-mail to him. He phoned back straight away and , I believe, performed miracles. I don’t know how!! To cut a long story short, Ram’s couriers were contacted with the instruction that the phone had to be delivered to me on the same day. They arrived back here at 18h20 with the phone!! I hate to think how the story would have panned out if I didn’t have Lennon’s e-mail address – I would probably be in the mortuary due to a fatal heart attack. Although Lennon has been a saving grace, my opinion of Vodacom has not changed. Their ‘service’ has a very bad odour!!Having spoken to Lennon several times it became clear that this was not even his job but he certainly went the extra mile! Thank you Lennon!
