Vodacom customer sercive, a migraine in the making

I upgraded my Vodacom contract in January, after many years of rolling the contract. What a nightmare then began. I did it through the iStore as you get apple care - frankly a mistake. The consultant selected a top-up contract instead of open contract on the form, I crossed this out and corrected it. The next thing was I could not make calls overseas and found out I was was on the wrong contract. I called and they could/would not help. Talk to Vodacom, who says talk to iStore. I called in Feb, March and April to get help. Nothing happened. After a lot of frustration and complaint/unhappiness. Each time I rated the call as 0/10 and confirmed I was very unhappy. Don't bother with this Vodacom does not care about the ratings, they go nowhere I can see. In June I managed to make a change to my contract (as 3 months had passed) through Vodacom - iStore had done nothing to help fix their error. Then the second problem started. They stopped charging for the handset installment. I called and complained in July, Aug and now September. Despite 1 hour calls and listening endlessly to the annoying hold music I am still not being charged for the installment. Please take my advice and don't use the iStore for an upgrade, they have not helped at all and not responded to requests for help. Please do not use Vodacom unless you are unemployed, lonely and want to spend your life calling Vodacom, they talk endlessly but nothing helps and nothing happens. I have wasted so much time on this and the Vodacom Customer Service department are merely a source of stress and have not helped me. Don't bother asking for a supervisor, they don't help and don't call back. Don't bother rating at the end of the call, does not help and there is no response to the worst possible reviews.

What a great sadness to see such a quality firm like Vodacom descend into poor service and lack of due care or internal controls (I had to call to try to get charged for the installment!) THIS REALLY SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN.
