Vodacom Customer Care (telephonic cancellation), Vodacom Head Office, Riverside, Nelspruit and their connection with Elite Mobile
Regarding the Vodacom Account I15.....-6: 1. Vodacom Customer Care (telephonic cancellation) 2. Vodacom Head Office, Riverside, Nelspruit 3. Vodacom's connection with third-party seller, Elite Mobile
June 2024 Elite Mobile (I did write a HelloPeter review on them, but this is part of the background information): Elite Mobile are con artists who trick people, especially the elderly, into contracts they do not need. You can look at all the reviews of their ****ming, and see that they should not be allowed by Vodacom to have clients' contact information, ID numbers, and details of their contracts with Vodacom.
Elite Mobile phoned my 80-year-old mother in June 2024 to upgrade her data and cell phone contract although I explicitly told her not to do so. But they were adamant and succeeded in upgrading it.
After a few days, she told me about it and I immediately phoned Vodacom Customer Care telephone number and asked them to cancel it. It was canceled and according to the Vodacom Shop's (Ilanga Mall, Nelspruit) records when we went there on 26 August to do the upgrade, it was indeed canceled.
26 Aug 2024 Vodacom Shop, Ilanga Mall, Nelspruit Reason for visiting the shop: a) Cancel the current data contract (066 ... ..74) on my mom's account (I.....-6); and b) Upgrade on her current cell phone contract (082 ... ..22) The lady at the shop, Fortunate, phoned the Customer Care Line. The lady on the phone, NAIDA001, did exactly what Elite Mobile did: she tried to convince my mom not to cancel the data contract and made promises regarding her being a loyal customer, etc. I took the phone from my mom and explained to NAIDA001 that the purpose of the call was to cancel the data contract. She did not want to accept it and I gave the phone back to the shop lady, Fortunate.
The call was ended and according to Fortunate, NAIDA001 accused her of influencing my mom. We phoned again from my mom's phone and listened for the next half an hour to repetitive music and automated voice messages. We tried again, and it seemed as if we were blocked. We continued with the upgrade of her cell phone and left after 2 excruciating hours with unfinished business. My mom was exhausted, stressed out, hungry, and very tired.
From the Vodacom Shop, Ilanga, we went to the Vodacom Head Office, Nelspruit. Kgomotso (KG) promised me I would be contacted in 48 hours. But after 4 working days, there are no resolutions regarding the cancellation of my mom's data contract.
Elite Mobile We went home and thought I should look at my mom's banking statements, and there it was: - Elite Mobile debited R198 on 1 Jul 2024. - Even though we canceled the contract(s) with Elite Mobile in the first week of July, they debited another R198, plus R300 (2x Upgrade fees). My mom did not receive any device with it!
About Upgrade Fees: according to Elite Mobile when you do online/telephonic upgrades, there are no upgrade fees involved. So, what now???
THE PROBLEM: 1. Vodacom does not want to cancel my mom's data contract. 2. Elite Mobile keeps deducting money from her account. 3. Vodacom Head Office, Riverside, Nelspruit can not help us either!!!!
Elite Mobile **** people and don't care what they need or how old they are. The law forbids businesses to write contracts with children under 18, but Elite Mobile is ruthless with old people who can't follow erratic conversations which are all lies.
Elite Mobile should be ashamed of itself and should not be allowed to do business at all.
What I can't understand is that everyone can see that Elite Mobile had low ratings, but they keep on doing everything wrong!!
ELITE MOBILE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR CLIENTS, THEY JUST WANT TO TRICK THEM INTO REACHING THEIR TARGETS EVERY MONTH.
VODACOM DOES THE SAME - THEY DON'T WANT TO CANCEL CONTRACTS THAT HAVE EXPIRED WHEN YOU PHONE THE CUSTOMER CARE LINE.
Should we go to the Ombudsman? Is there still something like that? Should we start a law case? Go to the police and get a case number? Why is Vodacom not addressing this matter of third parties? Is it because Vodacom also gets what they want?
It is shocking and very disappointing!!! Who can be trusted? Who can help us? Isn't it ********* what these companies do???
