VODACOM CUSTOMER CARE SUCKS

Good day. On 07/11/2019 I received a call from a Vodacom consultant to upgrade my contract to a contract with better values. I was busy at that time and agreed to upgrade just to stop all the phone calls that were irritating me. I actually do not recall anything that was presented to me because the gentleman that called was rambling on and on and I had people in and out of my office, so I was not concentrating properly. My son's IPhone which he has had since 2018 is now giving problems, so I told him to go to Vodacom to renew his contract and get a new handset. Apon doing this they said he can only renew his contract in September 2021 (which is unacceptable). So this morning 25/09/2020 @ 10:23 I telephoned Vodacom to tell them my sad story of my husband losing his business due to COVID-19 and the company I work for reduced my monthly salary as well, so I cannot afford to pay this amount of money any longer, due to circumstances that are beyond my control. At the same time I discovered that there are two numbers on my package that I have no clue on or maybe numbers going back to who knows when. I asked her to cancel them and then we can look at the numbers that are used and work out a more affordable package. She went ahead and explained that I would need to pay a cancellation fee for these two numbers................excuse me, I am wanting a refund for monies deducted from 7 November 2019 to date. I want my son's phone returned to the original contract so that he can get a new handset and utilise the account properly. The bottom line is I am unable to keep up the payments on my contract due to salary restrictions and after explaining this to the lady she said that I will have to pay cancellation fees or early settlement fees. What!!!!!!!!!! I just informed you that my financial situation is in dire striates. I feel I am left with no option but to stop paying this contract and go to another service provider. I will also never take on any deals over the telephone again as I was taken for a ride. Good luck Vodacom in getting any further funds from me as I tried to explain I do not have the funds to pay you, so you either make a plan to assist in a reasonable manner or you can take a chance to sue me with whatever money I have left to pay you. When you go to a Vodacom branch with this query they tell you that because it was a phone offer they are unable to help. I did not know that Vodacom had two separate companies, i.e. one for in store offers and one for telephone offers. The customer care in this Company really SUCKS. I have been a client of yours for 24 years and this is how you treat me when I am going through a difficult time in my life. I get phone calls daily from other service providers wanting my business.....................so watch this space!
