Vodacom customer care only in African language

I am trying to contact Vodacom customer care on 082135. When the call is answered by the automated answering service I am addressed in an African language. Is English not supposed to be the universal communication language in the country? What customer service is this if you can not understand to even select an option for assistance? This is dissapointing to realise vodacom has no regard for its customers that do not speak African languages.
