Vodacom ******** behaviour - cannot cancel contract when abroad

So it seems the only way to get a hold of Vodacom is via hellopeter.com so here we go.

To whom this may concern, I have relocated to the US for over 3 years now and have been trying to get a hold of someone at Vodacom to cancel my mobile contract. Needless to say, I was happy to settle the outstanding amount, however, now I am not able to get hold of anyone. It has cost me hundreds of US dollars (Thousands of Rands holding on the phone (+27 82 135) to speak to someone. I have eventually had to close my SA bank account because I wasn't using it and was costing me money as well. So now, only once the Vodacom debit orders stopped going through do I get a letter from Vodacom threatening to report me to the credit bureau and to get their legal team involved.

The contact us page on Vodacom's website does not work. There is no e-mail address anywhere to be found which customer queries can be sent to.

I am happy to settle the outstanding amount, if only I could get hold of someone there...

Absolute disgrace.
