Vodacom correcting a mistake with another mistake

On the 31st of March 2018 I upgraded my contract online, a week later I received my new phone with NO simcard... I used my new phone not knowing that Vodacom actually never upgraded my contract, but took out a whole new contract for me on my name.

I only realized this after a couple of months when I noticed that my vodacom bill seems extremely high and after a sales rep from Vodacom phoned me trying to sell me an additional data bundle. He mentioned the new number and I told him I don't have a number like that on which he rep**** I do. I then clicked that the upgrade was wrongfully added to my account as a new contract and not an upgrade on my existing line. I then contacted vodacom numerous times explaining to them that I did an upgrade on my number and didn't take out a new contract. Vodacom never contested this and said they'll cancel the contract and refund me in full (I've got this on email) when they picked up my device and signed it back into their warehouse. Vodacom then sent a courier company (RAM) to collect the phone from me and told me that I will get a refund for the mistake they made on their side. The tracking number is: V1P **********

I have been in contact with Vodacom as I haven't received a refund as yet... They have the phone but still the contract is going off my account as a debit order, and I received a statement today showing that they now billed me R9000 for cancelling the contract. The problem is, I never took out the contract in the first place... this was suppose to be an upgrade.

Please can someone assist me as a matter of extreme urgency, I unfortunately need to take legal action if this is not rectified.
