Vodacom contracts misleading and *********

I have a 2 year business red select contract with Vodacom which has been running for well over 1 year. From April 2022 Vodacom increased my subscription fee from R912.17 to R958.26 despite my understanding that the basic fee was fixed for a 2 year period. This is audacious and shows how misleading a vodacom contract can be . One enters in to what one logically presumes is a fixed contract based on the amount you know you are able to pay per month And yet somewhere in the 30 page contract document is likely a clause that says they may adjust the fixed contract amount No one without at least a lawyers degree would be able to understand the nitty gritty of such a contract. A consumer is led to understand that a fixed contract is a fixed contract. Not so with Vodacom - for all i know they could alter it by a thousand rand per month - and you will be liable Imagine if you purchased a vehicle for a fixed contract price and then suddenly they pushed you contract fee up to an amount you could not afford - what then? At the very least Vodacom agents should warm customers that the perceived fixed contract amount they sign for is actually not a fixed amount at all. That would be open and honest . However it would appear that Vodacom has no integrity - is deliberately misleading and *********. When my contract ends i will not be renewing the same Watch out - be cautious when dealing with Vodacom - what you sign for is not what you may end up with - atrocious business practices.
