Vodacom contracts don't expire its legally one sided in their Favour
I have been a vidacone custoner for 30 years and over the years added contracts for my household. Not once have I evermissed a payment. 2 years ago I had multiple strokes Last year I contacted vodacom to explain my health medical situation and that its affecting my financial status.I requested to down grade as my total monthly premium was R6700 or cancel some of the contracts. I was informed that I cannot do that because my account is not in arrears and I gave a vodacom VIP account meaning .Until my account goes in arreas they can't help me. A few months later my account was in arrears I then called no they can't help me I have to make arrangements to pay the arrears then I can call again .As soon as I paid up the arrears my full account was reinstated with a cost of R6700 again. They can't cancel or down grade I need to give one months notice . This cycle has been ongoing for a year. I drove to the head office in midrand there us no customer service. All these contracts has expired but I can't cancel it 😫 I have R3000 that I must pay last arrears then the account activated again R6700 because I need to give one months notice .its a vicious cycle.so what happens to consumer rights on contracts if its expired. I am now a disabled pensioner and can't get out of a expired contract. I have been a loyal customer for years I am not asking fir any favours or discount surely I can cancel my contract My next way put is consumer council
Alternative contact ***
***
I have again last so called payment arrangement due before my service is reinstated by default and sitting with a bill i can't afford and fall into arrears again
From national credit council this is abuse.I have tried for a year and I am hold hostage on expired contracts and my credit record being destroyed.
