VODACOM CONTRACT UPGRADES ARE A ****
I have been on a vodacom contract for 2 years whereby I was paying R355 for 30gb day, 30gb night, a wifi router and contract insurance. Last month (March) vodacom contacted me for an upgrade, of which we agreed that based on the current big data deals, for R299 I would be receiving 60gb day 30gb night. This was confirmed with me by two agents who confirmed over and over that by 1st of April, I will be receiving a total of 90gb. On the 1st of April however, I received the same data I did in my old contract (30gb day, 30gb night) so I called vodacom. No one has been useful except for one lady who told me that it was a vodacom chatz store (ferndale) that had "upgraded" me and unfortunately their contract states that I should be getting 30gb day and 30gb night for THIRTY SIX MONTHS - which is totally insane because from what I know 24months is a standard contract term and no one ever explained that - also, why would the contract have different information from what was agreed and confirmed with TWO separate agents? Is that not the very definition of a ****?? Are these agents not con artists??
Essentially I have now spent 2 hours of my morning today trying to get my upgrade rectified with no luck. Everyone at vodacom keeps claiming they can't do it because it's not their department and they keep transferring me to unanswered numbers that just hang up. I have now spent an hour trying to cancel this contract because I figured vodacom are just ******* and ******** who are now trying to get me to pay for things I didn't agree on and I am now told I must go to ferndale to cancel this contract - very convenient, I stay in the eastrand and I have never been to ferndale, how is that working out? I ended up asking for a contact number from one of the consultants, and he gave me a number that doesn't even work. So with my time and this small data vodacom insists on giving me I had to dig for the number online to this so called ferndale chatz store. I just called and I was promised that someone else (a manager of some sort) will be contacting me to resolve the issue (not really holding my breath)
Anyways, to anyone out there who might be thinking of getting a vodacom contract or upgrading - YOU WILL REGRET IT, RATHER DON'T !!
