Vodacom contract upgrade ****
So I went onto the website, found a data deal for 200GB for R329 per month. Clicked on the Upgrade and saw I was eligible to upgrade. Went through the process to upgrade to get this new data deal package. Then had to wait for the 1 April for it to activate. At which stage I get sent a "quote" but also my account immediately gets upgraded to a now R505 per month contract. I did not ask for this. I app**** for a R329 per month one. Is this some kind of **** ?

02 Apr 2025, 18:19No one got in contact with me. And I am still battling to sort out this mess. I had the upgrade cancelled. Then the "reverted" contract is now much more expensive than the old one. So now I am trying AGAIN to get an upgrade to the package as advertised on your website - namely R329 per month for 200GB (100GB day and 100GB night). But your billing is a disaster. So I wonder if its not best to just cancel everything with vodacom and move to MTN who might at least know *** they are doing with billing and might also actually give you the contract you signed up for on their online shop !

Account department claims this is a price increase now and cannot be reduced to what my contract was for. This is absolute nonsense. The price adjusted when they cancelled the stuffed up upgrade story and reverted back and it should revert back to what I was paying. So now they are just plain *****ing money from me
