Vodacom contract ****s

I took out a contract in April2021 where I was to get a cellphone with two sim cards, one with airtime and the other with data which is a 100% discount, all for R230 for 30mnths. In November I get an email that my second line was billed in error and that I should pay R66 but that I would not be charged for the previous mnths. I got confused as to which line they are referring to, then I called customer care and was told nothing appears on their system and that I should wait until the billing reflects, only then will they be able to check what the email was about. In December I was then billed R317 now inclusive of the second line billing and when I contacted customer care, I was sent pillar to post until I eventually found out that the second line is the data sim card which was initially free. I phoned multiple times to express my discontentment but to no avail, I even sent a complaint but was never attended to and customer care seemed to never know what is happening. So I decided to reverse the debit order and I quickly got a call from the collections dept whom I then explained my query to and they said the matter would be escalated only to be called many times without any resolution. So I paid via eft the R230 as per the initial contract and then on 2022-04-29, I get a call from another consultant saying that there's nothing they can do, that I have to pay for both lines and that if I cancel the contract I would still be liable to pay for the remainder of the term but would not get the airtime nor the data for the term remaining.

In a nutshell, vodacom can change the terms of the contract and there's nothing you can do about it, you are bound to whatever they decide whenever

It was not my fautlt that your company billed in error bit you went ahead to charge without giving me the option of whether or not I still want to continue with the contract or if I can afford it. The different explanations I got from various consultants clearly shows that I have been dealt a raw deal. I will advise my lawyers on the matter
