VODACOM contract price increase at their discretion

Please note before you open a contract with VODACOM. Dont be a victim like me.

I took out a contract for an Iphone 6 , i was told that the amount will be fixed but 4 months into the contract my fee increased by about 8% without any notification from Vodacom. An amount which i cannot afford. I will end up paying over R800 more than the amount i signed up for over the life of the contract.

Now when i go through the statement i realised a foot note on my statement saying that there is a price increase from 1 April.

I am in the process of raising the cancellation fee (R7,300) because i do not want to continue dealing with a ********** business (or at least ********** sales persons who told me my contract amount will not increase). When i spoke to the person at the customer retention department, they just arrogantly told me to cancel the contract.

Vodacom is doing this because not everyone can afford (7K) to cancel their contract, so poor South Africans will just pay the higher (dictated) amount.

Please do not fall into this trap. If this doesn't convince you, please also read a review by LUCKY N. He is suffered the same abuse from SA leading cellular network.

Hi Vodacom, Can you please send me a copy of my contract? I went through the terms an conditions you sent me, they do not mention your discretion to increase the contract price. Alternatively, please quote me a section which give you a right to do this? I might have missed it when i signed my contract. Angry Client.
