Vodacom Contract cancelltion
My contract expired on 29th March 2022. On 30th December 2021 I sent an e mail informing that I wish to cancel my contract as at 29th March, so I will be giving them 90 days notice, so no excuses. I received an e mail on the 4th January 2022, with a Reference No 002EGaHTAFSTW57A confirming that they have received my email but I must send them my ID No an and address which I did. But no further reply. On the 06th March 2022 I went to the Vodacom store in Pavilion to inform them that I wish to cancel my contract, but they advised me to call *** which I did from the store, I was told they would send me an e mail and sms to confirm my request. To date nothing. I then contacted Cancellations department AGAIN on 2nd May 2023 *** and spoke to a very helpful lady Lungile Buthelezi and explained everything to her. She asked us to reconsider not cancelling, and would call me back the next day. To-date this has not happened. On the 5th May I sent another e mail informing them that this is my final correspondence to Vodacom to cancel my contract as per 23/3/2023 and credit the account accordingly, for charges of April and May 2023, which we refuse to pay. Eventually I got an email informing me that they did not have any proof that I cancelled the contract. TOTALLY RIDICULOUS, Do we as consumers just have to accept the blame as Vodacom can never be at fault
