Vodacom Contract Cancellations Centre is ***********!!!
I was told to give a months notice to cancel my vodacom contract and that the contract expires 24 Jan 2021. I phoned them on 24 December 2020 to give the notice of cancellation. In the second week of January 2021 I phoned again and the cancellation still wasn't processed, so again I told them to cancel my contract on the expiry date. On 29 January my debit order went of for R524, my usual payment amount is R299. So I phoned them AGAIN, and was told that my contract still hasn't been cancelled and that my "discount" with the contract was only until December and this invoice was for January. I told them to cancel the contract with immediate effect, which I was told has now been done, and I was also told that I must pay for the month of February as well, even though I gave the notice when I was supposed to (and all follow-up calls confirmed they have the recording of me giving the notice on 24 December). I just checked and my account is still active showing that my debit order for February will now be R1148.88. I'm sick of this!! You phone and phone and phone and no one does their freaking job!! And the answer to everything is "I will escalate the matter". Vodacom has the worst and most *********** people working at call centers. I gave the notice when I was supposed to!! How does the discounted rate expire one month before the contract!? I should not have to pay for any of the months after my contract expired because I GAVE NOTICE!! Nor should I have to pay the increased rate! Someone from Vodacom THAT CAN AND WILL ACTUALLY SORT OUT THIS PROBLEM BY DOING THEIR JOB better phone me asap and send me the correct invoice amount due for January and have my contract cancelled, WITHOUT me being invoiced for February
