Vodacom contract cancellation

BE AWARE OF VODACOM. I have cancelled my Vodacom account in November 2024. I went into the Vodacom branch at Ballito Lifestyle Centre KZN. I got a cancellation letter with the amount to pay to settle the account. The full amount was paid, and all the paperwork was completed at Vodacom Lifestyle Centre. I have all the proof for that. A month later I got a bill from Vodacom for my monthly subscription fee. I went back to Vodacom Lifestyle Centre and got in touch with cancellations again. The promised that the account will be closed within 48 to 72 hours. This did not happen for the second time and at the end of December 2024 I got a bill from Vodacom for my monthly subscription. Again, went into the Vodacom shop at Lifestyle Centre and contacted cancellations with advised the account will be closed within 48 to 72 hours which did not happen for the third time. This never happened and January 2025 I gat anther bill from Vodacom. Went back to the Vodacom shop and contacted cancellations for the fourth time regarding the cancellation. They promised the account will be closed within 48 to 72 hours. The monthly amount for the subscription was again deducted from my bank account in January 2025, three months after I cancelled the account at Vodacom which I stopped and reversed at the bank. I got a summons from Vodacom to pay the amount outstanding. They summons you for money you have already paid them because they have *********** people that cannot do a cancellation properly. It is impossible to get this resolved because when you phone Vodacom you get through to an operator who refuses to put you through to a higher level. They want to know what your problem is and will escalate it to management and that is where it stops. I have written mails to all Vodacom as per get in touch addresses, they have on the internet with no reply from Vodacom. Now they have given me over to their collection attorneys for the money I have already paid to them. This is going on now for 19 months and not resolved.
