Vodacom contract
My dad had a Vodacom contract a few years ago that he took out at the Game in Gateway . After the contract, he cancelled because he was not happy with the service. He then went to Telkom and have had no problems. The Telkom contract has ended and he was looking for a network that could offer him a double deal . Currently Vodacom is offering a S9 double deal so on Saturday 4 August he went to a Vodacom store at the Cornubia mall. He was greeted by Muhammad who showed him the options and advised on the documents needed to apply for a contract. Contracts needed were for a cell phone and tablet. He got the necessary documents and went to the store. Muhammad processed the application and told my dad that because he was applying for more than one contract the call centre will have to veryify the my dad's application manually and that could take up to three hours, by that time it was already 3pm. We could not wait so we advised Muhammad that we would be back the following day after church. We got to the Vodacom store on Sunday at 11am and waited for Muhammad for over an hour. When we eventually got to see him, he advised my dad that he did not qualify for a double deal because he has not purchased anything in the last three months although his credit rating is impeccable. So we asked Muhammad to try for a cheaper contract and even that could not work out. Asked if the tablet could be approved and we were told that that too needed to be processed manually. We then became so frustrated that we left the store. Vodacom procedures stink. My dad's credit rating is brilliant and he was treated like a ********. We then tried Telkom were we do have an expired contract. We got a Samsung tablet and a Samsung A8 on contract with no issues and no delays. Hats off to Telkom. Vodacom stores will never see us ever again. Thank you Vodacom for making our experience so memorable.
