Vodacom Contract

Good day

I took out a contract on Monday with Vodacom in Canal Walk 27/02/2017. My phone was ****** and I notified vodacom and then took out a new contract. I am an existing client with 4 contracts already with Vodacom for my family. On Tuesday 28/02/2017, I went back to Vodacom to enquire if I can cancel the contract that I took out on Monday as I have since received a second hand phone and just needed a sim. I was told to wait for the manager. The Contract Phone which i took out on Monday was still in its box with all the goodies and original box. I then approached the store Manager and she informed me that I cannot cancel the contract as the paperwork has been sent off. I explained that I only took out another contract so that I did not have to buy a phone and she said there is no cooling off period and that the 7 day return policy is for faulty units. Very dissappointed Vodacom customer.

Dear Client

I understand your concerns, however there is no cooling off period when opening a contract in store. As the store mentioned, the 7 day out of box failure is only for faulty handsets.

I forwarded your comments to the store management for further review and comment.

Kind regards
