Vodacom continues to cheat people out of money.

Honestly. This is my third review of Vodacom on hellopeter. And I am beyond fed up with the kind of customer service received by Vodacom. On the first of this month, as I normally do, I use contract of R150 airtime to purchase my WhatsApp bundle for the month, and check my airtime balance first to ensure that the airtime has come through. This month however, I see that I have 5GB of data, along with R150 airtime. Upon enquiry, a consultant told me that I had purchased this new deal for R300 via a black Friday promotion by dialling a USSD code. This was new news to me, as I most certainly did not dial and do anything of the sort! No SMS notifications or anything, in fact, if I hadn't checked my balance, I never would've known! They however insisted that I had done this, and refuse to cancel this contract. I cannot afford double the contract price every month, and I am told I have to pay this amount till May next year and cannot cancel this contract! Since, I have disabled my Vodacom Sim card and do not know what to do. My only regret is taking up a contract with Vodacom and even then, not trying to cancel it sooner after all my sour experiences with them. My advice to anyone getting a new contract is to rather go with providers like Telkom or MTN, that actually care about their customers and resolving issues. My boyfriend has also had issues with Vodacom in the past, and after changing to Telkom, he's never been happier with the service and not to mention lower prices. Vodacom, you are dishonest people that like to continually at money from people and that is why neither myself, nor my friends and family members will be renewing contracts with you.
