Vodacom consultant *****
Where do i begin, last week Monday vodacom direct phoned my mom to inform her that one of her contracts is due for an upgrade, (she has 3 contracts at vodacom and been a customer for over 20 years) the Vodacom employee who phoned my mom explained to my mom that she is currently paying R230 for the contract and that if she does the upgrade, she will receive a new phone (Samsung A13) AND she will pay less per month and still receive the same airtime that she currently does, she confirmed with him 4 times asking him if he is sure that she'll pay less and still receive the same amount of airtime, wich he then confirmed, not once or twice but 4 times he confirmed that she will receive the same amount of airtime (keep in mind, these call always start with a message saying that all calls will be recorded for quality purposes)
Later on that day, i got home from work, my mom explained the story to me and I said that it sounds fishy, we then phoned customer care, Tshepo with customer care confirmed that the guy that phoned us from vodacom, **** to my mom, he did a migration on the contract to a way smaller package, after my mom asked him 4 times if she'll still receive the same amount of airtime, (my mom is 60 years old)
I can't help but feel that the Vodacom consultants that phone the clients, try to **** the elderly into upgrades so that they can benefit from the upgrade commission at the end of the month,
From here on the story actually gets worse,
After speaking to Tshepo at vodacom customer care, my mom immediately said that she isn't happy with what happened and that she wants to cancel the upgrade, because she really needs the airtime, Tshepo gave her a number to phone and said that the division of vodacom who did the upgrade, is the only people who can cancel the upgrade.
We phoned the number Tshepo gave us and we spoke to Nokukhanya (Reference number RCO301757)
Nokukhanya said that they can't cancel the upgrade because the parcel is already on its way to us via RAM couriers, she said we need to decline the package when it arrives and after that RAM will return it back to vodacom head office, and only after they have the phone back in their hands, they can do the cancellation wich i don't agree on, the moment we phoned them, why didn't they phone RAM and ask them not to deliver the package and then go ahead and do the upgrade for us? It's now going for 2 weeks and we still don't have a phone yet, we need to wait and wait without a phone because some consultant at VODACOM tried to do a ********** upgrade for a 60 year old elderly woman who told him that she can only understand Afrikaans, to wich he responded in English "its okay mam, just say yes to everything) that all is in the recording.
IF YOU HAVE A LOVED ONE THAT IS NOT CLUED UP ON HOW CONTRACTS WORK ETC, KEEP THEM AWAY FROM VODACOM, THE VODACOM CONSULTANTS WILL CALL THEM AND TRY AND CONFUSE THEM INTO UPGRADES THAT THEY NEVER AGREED UPON. THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM,
VODACOM, STOP TARGETING THE ELDERLY, A customer for 20 years and this is how my mom gets treated,
My moms phone is constantly on charge because the battery doesn't last, she was looking forward to getting a new phone, instead she got a consultant that tried to **** her out of her pension and 2 weeks of wait for a phone.
