Vodacom cons customers...Do not trust them
I bought an Alcatel Onethouch POP C7 from Markam in early March this year.
The device cost me nearly 2000 rand to buy. It had battery issues all along but
i never really minded. now the battery is completely shot, it will not charge and the
phone refuses to switch on at all. it contains very important information for my business and school work.
you can imagine my horror when i went to Vodacom to get it fixed on warranty and they told me
the warranty is only valid for 3 months!!!! Even companies like cash converters give a 6 month warranty
on second hand electronics. in all honesty had i been informed by the team at markham when i
purchased the phone i would not have bought it. traditionally a warranty is 12 months or 24 months for
new devices. and the icing on the cake???? the f*cktards at vodacom do not even supply the spares for the
phone, even if i have my own money to buy!!! seriously??? why does vodacom push a product and then
not supply relevant support for the device. i am sorry but i feel conned out of my hard earned money, this is completely unfair. I am done with vodacom! VODACOM, you can go eat a bag of ****s!!!
