Vodacom Con - tracts follow up!

If you are thinking about taking out a contract over the phone, DON'T! Look up the review I wrote some time ago about Vodacom titled "Vodacom Con - tracts" Now I have done everything except take Vodacom to court, for being in breach of a contract that they have now destroyed! Apparently, Vodacom only keeps their recordings for 2 years?

So for 2 years I jump threw every hurdle in the futile process of requesting a copy of the recording of the verbal contract between myself and Vodacom. Then when I eventually get some help form the OSTI, informing me that there is a form (Vodacom PAIA Manual) you can fill in and legally put Vodacom under obligation to answer your request. I drove from Plettenberg Bay, Western Cape, to Vodaworld in Midrand, Gauteng, to deliver this by hand. The answer I got is as follow up of a fact! Vodacom will not make recordings available on request. All demands for this recording have been ignored, including the one made inside Vodacom's head office, Vodaworld. Now Vodacom says they have destroyed the recording?

So for 3 years they ignore written demands, made erroneous statements that a customer can obtain the recording from any vodacom shop, while hiding the legally binding process from all of us, including my lawyers! Only to say they no longer have it because I took to long to apply!

During this time, Vodacom had been **********ly debiting money from my account. When I eventually stopped the debit order, they branded me as not paying my account, which negatively affected my credit rating, and cost me financing for my business. I have also suffered the harassment of Vodacom's Lawyers, as they also **********ly handed me over for debt collection.

After all this, Vodacom now offers to compensate me, only for the incorrect amount debited from my account, but will not provide anything else requested in the (Vodacom PAIA Manual)

What do you think? Do business with Vodacom, or Take your business elsewhere?

Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! The same automated response as last time with zero follow up! This does not count as a response, and Hello peter should really block Vodacom from using auto answers to make it look like they are answering complaints!

Eight years later, and Vodacom has not done anything to fix this situation. If anyone finds this complaint, Vodacom never refunded the overcharge on my account, let alone compensated me for losses directly because of Vodacom's incorrectly reporting to the credit bureau that I am in arrears, which prevented me from getting a critical business loan. I will never do business with Vodacom, and I will never stop reminding Vodacom of what they did to warn anyone from doing business with Vodacom.
