Vodacom Comprehensive Insurance is a ****!!!

I went to Vodacom Brooklyn Mall to fetch a new phone because my iPhone 13 was ****** and I was approved for a new phone. When I arrived, the consultant made contact via phone call and spoke to an insurance agent from Vodacom. The agent told me on the phone that I was approved for a second-hand iPhone 13 device and paid an excess of R1000. And my second option was to wait for a new iPhone13. The consultant in the store verified that there’s no stock at the Warehouse and I would have to wait for stock that is to be shipped from overseas which might take 2-3 weeks. I told the agent that I was paying for comprehensive insurance ranging from R15001- R20000. Then I was told I was approved for a phone that costs R12 000.

When I bought my iPhone in June 2022 my iPhone cost was R19 000. I got it on contract and also included Comprehensive Insurance and the insurance range is R15001-R20000 and I paid R221.47 every month. In May 2023 my insurance premiums increased to R275.75 and I paid my insurance every month. In March 2024 my insurance premiums increased to R301.94 and I paid my insurance every month. The range coverage has been the same R15 0001-R20 000. Why did my insurance premiums increase yearly, while the value of the iPhone 13 depreciated. I paid the cover to be covered for the amount of R15001- R20000. It is ********* for Vodacom to offer me a second-hand iPhone 13 device. Ever since I bought my iPhone 13 device in 2022, Vodacom has been overcharging me on Comprehensive Insurance premiums

Thank you for the phone call but my situation was not resolved, I was forced to settle for the amount that I was offered while being overcharged for insurance. Paying R301 for a R12000 phone with 15% excess is ridiculous. I had to pay the difference to purchase a phone that is at the bracket on initial insurance range cover. I canceled my insurance the next day. Overall I'm not satisfied and I will never get insurance from Vodacom.
