Vodacom closed to business

We have tried unsuccessfully to obtain a data contract twice with Vodacom.

This week, after 5 hours of chasing documentation, completing forms and waiting for attention, the application was unsuccessful because we can't provide somewhat irrelevant documents that Vodacom deems crucial. (Apparently I need a personal employment contract, but I am self-employed, and a director of the business making the application).

The franchise staff are poorly trained and informed. On asking I was told we don't need a bank letter, later we did need one. They copied a foreign Visa from my passport(?) as part of the application for good measure.

I wanted to write to Vodacom, but can't trust call centre staff for a rational discussion, and the email contact is "temporarily unavailable".

So it seems to me Vodacom is not open for business to businesses.

If there is any individual at Vodacom who can make sense that we might get somewhere?
