Vodacom 'Client service' - Really....

First off. I own my part in this utterly distasteful saga by not paying my account on time, let's get that out of the way. I made a promise & did not honour my commitment, so that's on me.

HOWEVER....

I have been a loyal, very well behaved client for almost 20 years & at this juncture I currently have 10 contracts running concurrently. So yes, I think that does qualify me as a 'good customer'. Not that I have any sense of entitlement here, don't get me wrong. But do the Math...15 years = 180 months. I was ****med, lost a whack-load of money & for good measure discovered I've been cat-fished (Again, MY stupidity & I do own that too), but seriously, I fall behind by 4 payments....that's 4 out of 180 payments & they suspend all my services?????? So the logical & smartest next step is to communicate with them, ask for understanding to make a reasonable arrangement for an affordable payment plan right? After all, it's the right thing to do & all a man has is his honour. So 'man-up', do the right thing, despite the many adversities, other Creditors, licking the gaping wounds, trying to salvage some kind of self-respect while grovelling. A first time I've ever had to do any of the latter, but it's needed to try redeem myself.

The response: NO. No payment arrangement possible. We will simply convert all your contracts to 'Pay as you go', you will be listed on the ITC & finally (as if that's not enough) we cannot reconnect you.

SERIOUSLY??????

I am clearly a sucker for trusting people & backing the wrong horses.

That's my rant, done. Needless to say, I will NOT be a Vodacom sucker after this.
