VODACOM : Clever Theft/*****ing from consumers

I upgraded my contract on 25 November 2016 to a Samsung S7 on offer for R599-00. I specifically requested that I remain on the same type of contract than I had for the past 2 and a half years, Uchoose. This was confirmed by the consultant and the branch manager that I can upgrade at the price keeping my uchoose package. Several things went wrong with the sim swap to a nano, e.g. sim cards on the phone an tablet not being activated resulting in me have to go back 4 times to the shop and only have a working phone after more than a week. On 30 November 2016 I had the following available R78-79, 116m13s and 1.34GB until 25/12/2016. After 1 December I notice that all my credits disappeared, once again went back and were told to be patience it will appear again, several calls took place with the same answer. On 21 December still the same when this query was logged

I required my package to be put back on UChoose,

2. All my credits returned,

3. Period to be extended to 25/1/2017 for the data that expired on 25/12/2016 which I could not use due to your error.

4. Monthly contract price to be R599-00 in terms of the contract amount I signed for.

On 21 December 2016 at 10:06 am I logged a query regarding my package. I received a sms that it was resolved which it is not and phone again today and after holding for 20 minutes and transferred twice was told it is not.

On 3 January 2017

I have not received any feedback on this query nor was it resolved

Query follows up with the call centre without success:

28 November 2016 15:24 9 mins 32 secs

21 December 2016 10:06 28 mins 19 secs

28 December 2016 11:23 17 mins 59 seconds – (call dropped)

30 December 2016 16:37 10 mins 16 seconds

3 January 2017 10:42 21 minutes 53 seconds

3 January 2017 11:04 7 min 48 secs

3 January 2017 11:00 37 mins 1 sec

3 January 2017 11:37 6mins 57 secs

3 January 2017 11:38 40 mins 59 secs

3 January 2017 12:19 1hr 36 mins 31 sec

During the last call I was informed that the migration back can take place tonight HOWEVER I will be invoiced for both. This is outrageous that I have to pay for the lack of service and attending to queries by Vodacom, if you resolved the query in December when it was raise there would have been no need to insist on immediate correction.

I have NO trust in Vodacom that they will resolve this on 1 February then I’m still on the incorrect contract for the third month.

Clearly this is my demand:

1. Contract immediately migrated back to Choose S – the contact I have for the past 30 months prior to upgrade.

2. NO additional charge to me, this was not my mistake, I will NOT pay for a Vodacom mistake.

3. All my credits returned, R78-79 and 116 mins 13 secs

4. Period to be extended to 25/1/2017 for the data that expired on 25/12/2016 which I could not use due to your error.

5. Monthly contract price to be R599-00 in terms of the contract amount I signed for.

Confirmation in writing that all has been done and corrected to reach me by 17:00 on 4 January 2017

On 5 January 2017 08:16 40 mins 7 secs

On 12 January 2017 8:51 40 mins 27 secs

On 12 January 2017 8:39 12 mins 8 secs

On 18 January 2017 Pulane Sibanda came back to me once

Good day Ms Prinsloo

As per our telephonic discussion , I can confirm once again that the migration is loaded from the Smart S package to a U Choose Smart S .

The migration will take effect on 01/02/2017 and I can only request for a re-tariff once the new package has kicked in .

Can you please just remind me on the 1st of Feb , you can use the same email address.

Kind Regards

Pulane Sibanda

On 1 February 2017

Good day Pulane

I have been unable to make phone calls or doing anything else on my phone since Monday 30 January. Still not able to do anything.

Please can you urgently attend to this.

No response received

On 8 February 2016

Good day Pulane

I can at least make phone calls.

It is 8 February 2017 and the migration is resolve however according the my bill so far it reflect Uchoose S twice but I receive the benefits only once. None of the rest is corrected yet (the mail of 28 December attached again).

Two and a half months later??? This is really the worst service I ever received.

Can Vodacom actual resolve their mess?

This is almost three months later and this has not been resolved. Vodacom ***** the credit amount on your account, with every mess up the wipe any data and voice minutes that the consumer had in credit. This just keeps going on.

I demand

1. NO additional charge to me, this was not my mistake, I will NOT pay for a Vodacom mistake.

2. All my credits returned, R78-79 and 116 mins 13 secs

3. Period to be extended to 25/1/2017 for the data that expired on 25/12/2016 which I could not use due to your error.

4. Monthly contract price to be R599-00 in terms of the contract amount I signed for.

5. Reversal of the second line rental reflecting on my “Bill so Far” as I only received the benefit once.

All to be resolved and confirm in writing by 16:00 on Friday 24 February 2017
